Where am I?

I’m here *waves*. Things have been slightly crazy lately, with tax time and dealing with solicitors to sort out the terms of leaving the pub. Still a bit sad, but it will be nice to see the bank account out of the minus zone. The paper work is phenomenal, I really will be glad to get it done and dusted.

Business has picked up, our rooms have been booked out for weeks and still booked for the weeks to come. Typical. But it’s keeping us busy anyway, better than sitting around the house waiting and hoping for some customers.

Did I mention I am going to be launching my own little business soon? My sewing machine is getting a good work out. I’m actually sitting here surrounded by tulle at the moment. I don’t want to reveal too much yet though, I promise to update about that soon.

School holidays really was horrible. Bailey had croup, then Jye got croup and hubby ended up in hospital with him for 8 hours during the night. I took the older boys to the city to drop off my stepdaughter and they needed new school shoes. Tahnee screamed half the trip. What a nightmare.

Tahnee is 10 weeks old now. Unbelievable. She is such a cutie and really quite placid. Still breastfeeding her and loving it. We had her weighed the other day at 5.5kg. Go booby juice!!

So life is very very busy. I am sort of looking forward to moving away and being able to slow down a bit again – but I will miss this place.

And now I must go and finish up with this tulle before Tahnee is hungry again, otherwise my little terror toddlers will have a ball with it all in the morning!

Mobile post

Isn’t it amazing how far technology has come? It wasn’t that long ago that we were still using dial up. There was none of this wifi business and you certainly couldn’t update your blog via your phone while travelling to town in the car(don’t worry, the hubby is driving). Mind you, it takes a bit of time to type posts out on the phone, even with a full keyboard touch screen.

So we’re in the car right now on a 88km trip to town to do some banking and shopping. I’m still nesting like crazy and I actually WANT to go to the hardware store to shop. I have some organisation going on at home, amazing isn’t it?

It’s a cool cloudy day today and a good opportunity to take the kids to the park in town.

We had a random phone call from a nearby town today, asking if there was a caravan park in our sleepy little town(there isn’t – it’s just the school, us and the shop). It turns out that two brothers are cycling across Australia and were in need of somewhere to set up camp for the night.

So it’s not unusual for cyclists to come past here, but these brothers are ding it for a good cause – Vision Australia. You see, the brothers – Dean and Lorin Nicholson – have retinitis pigmentosa, they have less than 10% vision. They left Perth yesterday and reached us this evening – over 400km.

Good on them I say! I’ll be following their journey across the country and we wish them the best of luck for the remainder of their trip.

Edited to add: Just after I blogged about this, I found out that they had just blogged about US! Check it out here: http://www.blindcourage.com/?p=314

And so we begin…

Again. This will be the third time that I’ve attempted my blog.

The first time it got lost when I made the move from another domain and then last night – I must have had a MAJOR attack of placenta brain because I was clearing out unused databases on my webhosting and just like that – Blog is gone. I was devastated last night, enough to make me sob into my pillow and it didn’t even phase the hubby. He’s use to crazy hormonal outbursts like that. I am sure that I did a backup of the database along the lines somewhere, but the question is where? Not an easy feat to find when everything is spread over two computers. Needless to say, I couldn’t live without having my blog so I just started over. Funnily enough, I was planning on moving away from crazybeautiful because I have some things coming up on the main website(which you will know about when it’s ready!).

Anyway, I guess it’s back to basics huh? For those of you that already know much about me, you can stop reading. But for those who don’t, I feel obliged to do the whole ‘about me’ spiel like you usually do in the first blog post.

I am Tracey. 26 years old.  Married to my wonderful(and kooky) husband for 2 years and together for 5 years. Mother to four boys(Jayden, 7. Bailey, 6. Owen, 2. Jye, 1.). Two of which are not my husbands, though he loves them as much as his own, their dad isn’t a real big part of their lives. I’m pregnant(30 weeks and 3 days) with a little girl, this WILL be the last baby. Also a step mother to a little girl, Charlotte – she’s 5.

The hubby use to work on a mine site, running the tavern there. He was gone for 2 weeks at a time and home for one. That was until June last year, when we packed up and moved 4 hours out of the city to live in and run our very own country pub. It’s been challenging and fun, not to mention being around hubby 24/7 means I get to drive him nuts at a whim!

I blog about a bit of everything. Every day life, the kids, pregnancy. Whatever tickles my fancy really. I’ll probably be reposting a few things – like Jye’s birth story and our big Ben 10 birthday party last month, because I liked those posts so very much. So please, please bear with me!

Argh, still kicking myself!! My warning – STAY AWAY FROM DATABASES!!
